I started my career in maternal child health as a nurse in 1989. Working with mothers and babies in the hospital and home care settings prepared me to take the leap to become an IBCLC and I sat for the exam in 1997. Since my initial certification, I have had the privilege of working with thousands of families! I provide judgement-free lactation support to help families meet their feeding goals- from prenatal through weaning. Continuing education is important and I have had extensive training in assessing oral function for restrictions/ties, low milk supply, breastpump flange fitting and bottle refusal. Need help with painful feedings, pumping, infant slow weight gain, mastitis, positioning, increasing milk supply? I can help with these things and more! I am in network with Aetna and Cigna.
